Skinprint has developed a proprietary and patent pending process to measure and formulate products for your skin. Physical measurements of specific aspects of your skin are measured. These are called biometric measurements. High resolution digital photography in visible light and ultra-violet light are used in conjunction with the biometrics to thoroughly analyze your skin condition. Moisture Measurement of the moisture content of your skin is done via a specially designed probe which simply rests on the skin surface. Understanding the hydration level of your skin is critical in determining which moisturizing ingredients to use to normalize the skin. Firmness & Elasticity An elasticity probe measures your skin's elasticity and firmness which corresponds to the collagen and elastin content of your skin. Building the collagen and elastin components of your skin will help with fine lines and wrinkles. Barrier Function The barrier function of your skin is critically important to your skin's overall health. This is your skin's ability to keep in moisture and nutrients and to keep out toxins. A specially designed probe measures this aspect of your skin. Sebum The sebum or oil level of your skin can contribute to such skin challenges as acne, blemishes, surface bacteria. Understanding the activity of all of your oil producing glands is an important factor in proper skin care. pH Measurement pH assesses the relative acid-alkalinity of your skin. It enables us to assess underlying causes of skin conditions like tone, texture, redness and Rosacea. Visible Photography Identifying fine lines and wrinkles, hyper pigmentation (dark spots), texture and tone of your skin is critical in understanding how to formulate products. Ultraviolet Photography Ultraviolet photography identifies sun damage, oil patterns, surface bacteria and comparison images to your visible reveal underlying causes of some skin conditions.
